Discovering Steinbeck: A Research-Based Exploration

Steinbeck in the Archives

About this research opportunity

Students will have the opportunity to complete an in-depth research project on John Steinbeck’s works in collaboration with the Martha Heasley Cox Center for Steinbeck Studies at San Jose State University. Students will formulate an original research question and work closely with their instructor and peers to shape a research project for submission to the Louis Owens Essay Prize and, potentially, for publication in The Steinbeck Review. No prior experience with Steinbeck research is required.

Students must meet the enrollment requirements for ENG 489. This is a fall session B research course experience.
