About this research opportunity
ASU Online students will learn molecular biology techniques (DNA extraction, primers design, PCR, restriction digestion, gel electrophoresis, transformation) as well as cell biology techniques (aseptic techniques, cell culture and passaging, cell counting, transfection, immunocytochemistry, live cell imaging). This will be done in the context of real research projects that explore human disorders/traits.
This is a hybrid experience where ASU Online students will spend ~5 days on-campus (Oct. 16-20) in conjunction with the overall SOLUR Seminar course through session C.
ASU Online Students who have taken BIO 340 (Genetics) and are interested in in-person, hands-on research. Must be enrolled in SOLUR as an Apprentice or Researcher.
