Research on Visual Cognition

About this research opportunity

Stories are the foundation of both art and science. They provide humans with a unique sense of purpose, a past connected to a future through causative events. Stories are constructed from our reimagined memories: a sequence of selected events, ordered in time with a beginning and an end. ASU Online students in this course-based research experience will each construct individual experiments to explore our creation and comprehension of stories.

ASU Online students should register for LIA 294 in spring session C if they would like to participate in this course-based research experience. Students who are looking to continue their research with Prof. Hartwell will sign up for LIA 498 (instructor consent required).
