Career mastery through story

About this research opportunity

Are there general principles to achieving mastery that transcend career specialty and the current state of technology?  We will explore this question using our ability to learn from other people’s experience through their stories.  Stories are simulations of experience that allow us to immerse ourselves in another’s experience.  Stories are how our mind makes sense of the our experience in the world and are the foundation of art and science.  This one unit course is an introduction to career story research (LIA 294: Exploring the Path to Mastery) that can lead to individual research opportunities in LIA498.
