About this research opportunity
Students will learn about a key component of astronomy research: accessing observations and data analysis, particularly how to utilize open access astronomical data sets. The class research goal is to access public data from JWST and Hubble and to use the data to measure properties of galaxies and investigate galaxy evolution through utilizing common software observational astronomers use including Python programming.
